Account Deletion Policy

We respect your privacy and data autonomy. You may request to delete your Hiku account and associated data at any time. Please read this policy carefully to understand the process and consequences.
1. Data Deleted
Upon account deletion, the following data will be permanently erased:
- Profile information (nickname, avatar, email address)
- Third-party login associations (Apple ID, WeChat OpenID, Google ID)
- Favorite light modes and parameter configurations
- Shared modes and idea submissions
- Feedback records
- Device binding records and login device history
- Device location history
2. Data Retained
We may retain the following data as required by applicable law:
- Server logs: IP addresses, request timestamps, and operational records, retained for no more than 6 months.
Except for the above, all personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.
3. Consequences
Account deletion is irreversible. Once completed:
- You will not be able to log in or recover any data
- Remote control and management of paired smart lighting devices will be lost
- Your shared modes will be removed from the community
- Re-registering with the same email or third-party account will create a brand new account
4. Process & Processing Time
You may request account deletion through either of the following methods:
- In-App: Go to "Settings" → "Account Security" → "Delete Account", complete identity verification, and submit.
- Contact us: Send an email to myhome-labs@outlook.com with subject "Account Deletion Request", including your registered email or user ID for identity verification.
We will complete the deletion within 15 business days of receiving your request. During this period, you may log in to cancel the deletion.
5. Cancellation
During the 15-business-day processing period, log in and tap "Cancel Deletion" to restore normal account status. Once deletion is finalized, data cannot be recovered.
